6 meter antenn Swedish Space Corporation

I want to share a picture close from where i live where Swedish Space Corporation have their offices.

They installed a 6 meter dish back in the early 80's to receive TV-channels from ECS at 13 East which was the back in 1983.

Here is a picture, it's outside Stockholm and i always loved looking at the antenna, it was made by a Swedish dish manufacturer called Parabolic AB.

Parabolic is still living but they closed satellite dish manufacturing in the early 90's and only do consulting business now. http://www.parabolic.se

Bengt-Arne who is the owner and founder of Parabolic AB designed a whole range of professional antennas, the Swedish Space Corp 6 meter antenna is designed by Bengt-Arne and was one of the best antennas back in the 80's.

The biggest antenna they made was 8 meter.

Bengt-Arne is today retired but is a Radio amateur and EME bouncer, he have one of the few 8 meter antennas left from his company which he uses for EME.

Sadly his 8 meter antenna was blown down by the storm and he will fixt it soon.
